Anthony Peluso, DDS
Dr. Anthony Peluso loves to see the transformative power of orthodontics in the lives of his patients. Being a Virginian for more than 25 years, Dr. Peluso has long-standing ties to the community. He began his illustrious journey by earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Medical College of Virginia in 1997.
Dr. Peluso joined Drs. Karesh and Shivar in 1999 and has served with enthusiasm and dedication ever since.
Education & Experience
Dr. Peluso earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Medical College of Virginia in 1997 and completed his postgraduate training at the VCU Department of Orthodontics in Richmond, where he received his orthodontic certificate. In 2010, he completed his board certification in orthodontics.
Memberships & Affiliations
Since entering private practice, Dr. Peluso has been active in organized dentistry.
From 2007 – 2008, he served as President of the Tidewater Dental Association and was awarded the Simmons Award in 2018 for extraordinary contributions to the dental association, dental professionals, and the community.
Dr. Peluso has been a member of the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists-North Atlantic Component since 2009.
He also maintains active memberships in:

- Peirre Fauchard Academy
His inclusion in the Pierre Fauchard Academy signifies the outstanding contributions he has made to the progress and standing of the dental profession.
Volunteering & Teaching
For the past 20 years, Dr. Peluso has volunteered at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters on their craniofacial team.
Since 2012, he’s taught classes monthly at the VCU dental school. Dr. Peluso works closely with the orthodontic residents and oversees the treatment of their cleft lip and palate patients.
Outside of the Office
Dr. Peluso cherishes time in Virginia Beach with his four children: Anthony, Hannah, Madison, and Kate.
On sunny days, he enjoys strolls with his Wheaton Terrier, Quincy. His hobbies include reading, collecting duck decoys and Hot Wheel cars, and the occasional motorcycle ride.
