Walker W. Shivar, D.D.S.


Dr. Walker Shivar has been creating beautiful smiles since 1981! Dr. Shivar attended Penn State University for his undergraduate studies and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Medical College of Virginia. He went on to complete specialty training, receiving his Orthodontic Specialty Certificate from Eastman Dental Clinic.

Dr. Shivar is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and stays up to date with the latest in the orthodontic community by maintaining active memberships with the following groups:

  • The American Association of Orthodontists
  • Virginia Association of Orthodontists
  • Tidewater Orthodontic Society
  • Tidewater Dental Association
  • Virginia Dental Association
  • American Dental Association 
  • The Seaboard Dental Study Club​

He and his wife, Donna, live in Norfolk and have adjusted to the "empty nest syndrome". Their daughters, Kaitlyn and MacKenzie, live in Arlington and Richmond respectively. All enjoy more than ever the holidays and vacations that enable the family to spend time together.

In his leisure time, Dr. Shivar enjoys playing tennis and golf, reading and performing magic.

Anthony R. Peluso, D.D.S.


After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at St. John’s University, Dr. Anthony Peluso earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the Medical College of Virginia. His postgraduate training was completed at MCV/VCU in Richmond, where he received his Orthodontic Specialty Certificate. Dr. Peluso has been in practice since 1999.

Dr. Peluso is board certified and maintains an active membership with many organizations that allow him to keep up with all of the latest advancements in the industry. These groups include:

  • The American Association of Orthodontists
  • American Dental Association
  • Virginia Beach Dental Study Club
  • Tidewater Orthodontic Society
  • The Virginia Association of Orthodontists 

In addition, he was president of the Tidewater Dental Association during the 2007-2008 year.

In giving back to the community, Dr. Peluso volunteers with the Red Cross, Boy Scouts of America and Give Kids a Smile. He lives in Virginia Beach with his wife, Rose, and their four children: Anthony, Hannah, Madison and Kate. Away from the office, Dr. Peluso enjoys fitness, reading, motorcycles and carving duck decoys.
