Orthodontist vs. Dentist: Specialized Orthodontic Care

Understanding the difference between orthodontists and dentists is crucial when considering teeth straightening procedures. While both are dental care professionals, orthodontists like Dr. Peluso and Dr. Savage specialize in correcting teeth and jaw alignment. Orthodontists receive additional years of specialized training beyond dental school, focusing on orthodontic treatments such as braces and Invisalign. This expertise makes them uniquely qualified to diagnose, prevent, and treat dental and facial irregularities, ensuring the best possible results for your smile.
